Counselling and Supervision in Schools

I can work with students or staff.

I have worked in schools for over 20 years as a Teacher, Education Welfare Officer, Manager and Counsellor.  Teenagers and adults I work with say they have benefitted from my support and guidance in helping them cope with life’s challenges and helped them lead a more fulfilling life.

Students: I can offer ad hoc therapy for young people.

Staff: You may have staff in your school who would benefit from some counselling for personal issues or from some counselling supervision for the challenging, sensitive work they undertakesuch as child protection and need a place to process the things they are working with. Adults generally benefit from 50 minute therapy sessions weekly or fortnightly although some have found real value in monthly appointments.

Fees: I charge £50 per hour.

To book an appointment: If you are interested in having a counsellor or supervisor in school I am happy to discuss this further with you in person, by phone or email. Click here to be taken to my contact page.

Confidentiality: Whilst counselling is confidential, I appreciate appropriate feedback about students can be extremely helpful for schools, so it is always explained to students in our first session that, where it will help them and only with their permission, we can share relevant information with school staff.  The only exception is of course Safeguarding, guidelines of which I adhere to in the same way as schools.

I hold an up to date enhanced DBS disclosure and have full public liability insurance.
